Tour 2 - Full day

CAPRI – ANACAPRI

No holiday here in Sorrento would be complete without a trip to the evocative island of Capri. Departure by minibuses to Sorrento harbour. Embarking on the hydrofoil to Capri. Sail across the bay of Naples for the start of an unforgettable day. For so small an island, about 4 miles long and 2 miles wide, Capri has had much said, sung and written about it. First you will visit the fabulous villa of Dr. Axel Munthe, a Swedish doctor who’s best selling book “Story of San Michele” tells of his time on Capri. His villa was built with the remains of Roman ruins, there is a beautiful shady garden with terraces offering splendid views of the island. This is optional, and the entrance fee should be paid to the guide directly. You then go down to Capri town which is very chic with shops, hotels and restaurants lying along winding streets. The main square Piazza Umberto I has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by. Leading off the square are medieval looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling the handicrafts of the island, clothing, jewellery made from coral and gold, shoes and ceramics.

Admire the colourful gardens of Augustus overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola where Gracie Fields once lived. There is free time for you to go off and admire the elegant boutiques, stroll along the cobbled streets or simply relax on the beach. There is so much to see and do on this tiny island paradise that you will be sorry to leave. Return to Sorrento by hydrofoil and to the hotel by minibuses. It lasts about 8 hours (including transfer).

Tour 3 - Half day

NAPOLI

Departure by motorcoach. Arrival in Naples at Piazza Municipio. Walking tour to Piazza Plebiscito pointing out Maschio Angioino, Galleria Umberto and Teatro San Carlo. In Piazza Plebiscito the guide points out location of shops on Via Roma, Via Toledo and Via Chiaia. All guests meet at 2 pm at Piazza Plebiscito to walk to bus at Piazza Municipio. Bus tour of Napoli and the Posillipo with views of Napoli. Return to Sorrento.

Tour 4 - Half day

POSITANO

Departure by bus to the Amalfi coast, that is said to be the most spectaculare in Europe and from Sorrento, the winding cliff top road offers breathtaking panoramic views at every turn. Each spot is a world of its own, a fantastic world which dazzles the imagination and inspires unforgettable impressions.
We make a first stop above Positano to take pictures and to change into small local buses, as only local ones are allowed to go down town.

Once arrived in Positano town we start with a nice walk through the characteristic little streets of the village rich of shops of local products like limoncello, ceramics and typical dresses: the Positano fashion is indeed famous all over the world. Visit of the Church of Santa Maria dell’Assunta, the walk ends at the famous stairs that takes to the beach where all the best restaurants and open-air cafès are locateed. Free time for shopping or to stop in nice open-air cafès located on the wonderful beach. Meeting with the guide and transfer back to Sorrento.

Tour 5 - Half day

SORRENTO

Visit to Museo Correale di Terrannova with its Capodimonte potteries and to San Francesco’s Cloister (VII century). Walking tour through the picturesque little streets full of shops of inlaid works, limoncello, ceramics and jewellers renowned for the sale of corals. Visit to Museo della Tarsia Lignea, where you can see exclusive samples of inlaid works.
