EPOS 2011 travelling fellowship

The European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America are continuing their cooperation in organizing a Travelling Fellowship for young paediatric orthopaedic surgeons.

In 2010, three American fellows will travel to Europe.
In 2011, three European fellows will travel to North America to take part in the programme.

Candidates for the 2011 EPOS travelling fellowship should meet the following requirements:
  • Age under 40 years
  • Major interest in paediatric orthopaedics
  • Scientific works (publications, research reports) related to paediatric orthopaedics
  • Satisfactory knowledge in English
  • Completed training programme in orthopaedics with further experience in paediatric orthopaedics
EPOS membership is not required, the three elected fellows becoming automatically EPOS members (free of fees for one year).

Candidates should send by e-mail the following application documents to Prof. Pierre Lascombes
(p.lascombes@chu-nancy.fr) by 29th of September 2010:
  • Application letter
  • CV, birth date
  • Description of their current position and their clinical responsibilities and experience
  • List of publications and presentations at scientific meetings
  • Two letters of recommendation
EPOS Board will select the three travelling fellows during the Board meeting in October 2010.
